Wouldin't legalizing the use of save the environment
Marijuana fibers are many time stronger than wood and grows much faster.You
could create a entire forest ofin months instead of using our trees which
takes decades to mature.Sure some people would have some access to some
low grade smoking weed but the benefits out weigh the cons, right?
Canabis sativa would be an excellent source of fibers for
paper, clothing, & more.

The Lakota tried to grow this crop on one of their reservations & the government went in & destroyed the crop not once, but twice. I am NOT an advocate of Marijuana use or the use of any other halucenogenic/narcotic. I am in favor of finding ways to halt the destruction of our natural resources such as trees, the pollution of rivers, the poisoning of the land, misuse of water resources, etc.

Raising Industrial hemp would be a boon to the economy and would save a
lot of trees but those trees currently used for pulp and building
materials that would be replaced might not be grown if there was no
economic use for them. Simplistic are seldom simple
It would help, right now growing marijuana is not a very green
industry.
People divert streams for irrigation and poison the soil with fertilizer
and pesticides to grow it outdoors. And to grow it indoors they use lots
of electricity and destroy houses that must be gutted or torn down after
they grow op is busted. If it was legalized they could use greenhouses and modern farming techniques.
Hemp is legal and can be used to make almost anything (even
fuel), the only problem is that hardly anyone will go through the hoops
necessary to grow it (you have to have the crop inspected and such to make
sure you're not growing anything with THC in it).
So yes, if we legalized marijuana, growing hemp would be much easier,
making it much more accessible and this would help a lot of environmental
issues.

I agree that hemp should be more widely used. However, fortunately today
much of the harvested timber is replaced with seedlings and the forestry management plays a huge role in protecting the environment.
It depends on whether hemp plants cycle CO2 to Oxygen.

What about the people? We could smell the smoke from miles away.
You know, a forest of 50 ft. tall hemp trees sounds like a stoner is dream. (removing tongue from cheek) I think your idea has merit, on the surface.
It won't save the environment, but it would help. You are
correct on the fiber. even the US Constitution is scripted on hemp. Hemp
is the male plant, which ''marijuana'' comes from the flowers of the
female plant. You would sooner get high on the carbon dioxide from hemp
than the THC.
Hemp also produces lots of oil that can make a great bio-diesel product for cars/trucks. It is clean burning and uses nearly no chemicals to grow, unlike soybeans.
Then the California wildfires would be welcomed!

I don't know about Fibers and all that really, but i know that Marijuana
should not be legalized, people aren't ready to handle that and as for
planet fixing we can let God do that because he said in 2 Chronicles7:14,
'' If my people who are called by my name(A) humble themselves, and pray
and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from
heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.'' He could heal our land. God bless

Yes, hemp fibers are strong, and yes I am concerned about
trees, but the synthetic fibers that are being used pose more of a threat
to the environment. Legalizing hemp to make our ropes will not save the
environment.
Hemp production should be legal, but it will not ''save the
planet.'' The planet does not need saving, nor is there anything we could
do if it did.
